Used Basketball Equipment

     The best thing about basketball equipment is that there is nothing you cannot buy used. However, there is one exception. Buying used shoes is not recommended, simply due to hygiene reasons. Also, a used pair of shoes will have been broken in by someone else, and therefore will never completely conform to your feet, and you will lose out on optimum support and performance from your shoes.

     Used basketball equipment such as jerseys are extremely easy to find second-hand. As previously mentioned, jerseys are often considered collectors' items, so there is constant trade and resale going on, especially on the internet.

     Used basketballs can be found at individual garage sales, as well as some sporting goods stores that sell used equipment still in good condition at reduced prices. For a used backboard system, your best bet would probably be your local classifieds.
